I'm also an alumni of this school and agree with Coheed. Don't waste your money on this school. Yeah, the review is correct, some of the teachers here are here because they have basically ended their careers -- and it shows why. I had teachers who didn't show up to classes, who 'taught' by giving us web print outs, or who taught material in no way related to the degree you're there for. Some teachers have absolutely no teaching experience, and I had at least one class where the teacher was very obviously making it up as he went along. AI is a corporation for sure, and they're more concerned with attracting new students than doing right by the ones they have. Certainly, they have some great instructors, but this is not the majority. Do not give this school your money.

I'm an alumni and you do get what you put into it, but in end this program is not worth your money. It's too expensive and not recognized by anyone as a real school. AI is a corporation and they don't care about you, they care about your money. Go to a public university and earn a real degree. Maybe take this program after you've got a degree and want job training skills. Graphic design is a dead end job unless you're extremely creative and naturally talented. If you want to be sitting at your computer for the rest of your life then go to this school, because all they teach you is how to use Adobe Creative Suite.

I've read a couple of reviews of different schools and many people have said the same thing, "you get what you put in". But in ways, I think this is a cop out. Of course determination plays a role in how well you succeed, but you can really say that about anything.
Schools are different. They are run differently, they take different approaches to teaching, etc.
If all reviews are written like this, I don't think it'll help many people. They're just going to assume that all the schools are equal, and they should opt for the cheapest ones.
Still, I'm glad there's at least some information out there for me to read.
