to sum up,
1. if you are older than 25 years old. (so you know what failure is).
2. If you are self starter just need a place to use computers and software.
3. you have a year of time and 15 grand and can't find any other way to spent.
if you are 2/3, you can try it.

I finished BCIT digital animation program. (don't want say exactly when, it is between 2009 to 2010). It is not a very good program. The courses are all messed up. almost all instructors come after their day time job and unprepared. they were teaching whatever comes to their mind at that moment, the art department at school have no idea what the instructors doing. actually one of our instructor was actually pretty good, but that was not enough. at the third semester, none of the instructor teach anymore, the whole 1/3 of the program is just a Q/A section.
Since its a year program, at the last 1/3 all most all of us feel like no where to start, since no body taught us anything.
it is not government founded program, although its 50% cheaper then VFS the total hours per week is 25 hours which is also 50% class time of VFS.
the job getting rate was lower than 10%. for example, its like 2/24 people will ever find a job.
