Hey Sheila,
<br />
All art schools are the same. Just frivolous crap that gets you no where in the industry and they know everyone doesn't know anything about the industry and they know they can make a quick buck off of humble art student's dream. Emily Car is crap. So is VFS. Emily Carr is no where near as expensive as Vancouver Film School (the school I went to), which is the same garbage they feed you. If you want to get into the animation industry, go to digitaltutors.com or gnomon workshop or piratebay and download loads of tutorials. Just leave that school and save yourself the money.

I'm finishing second year and I feel like I'm getting an art history degree instead of visual art. The conceptual focus is driving me crazy. I haven't learned any techniques or improved my skills inside of the classroom and I find the assignments extremely creatively limiting. This school does not deserve its reputation.
