Although I had a great time as a student at VanArts I found the administration less than amicable and up front. We were constantly being charged more for class extras which was frustrating and difficult. I also feel they failed in helping us find work after we finished our course. Our teachers were great but the administration sucked. So, I would not recommend the program. I would suggest people look at VFS or AI.

Clint Morris is awesome! Wish I had more time in his class. Steven left for Backbone during the middle of the year and that’s when Clint stepped up and took over. We lost a lot of instructors that year.

KrookedSaint is spot on here with concern to the admin/management of VanArts. There was major incompetence and communication issues during my year there. Thank God they at least knew how to pick quality instructors or else my experience would have been a huge negative. I bet it’s not as bad as it was now.

I have also had problems at VanArts in the past. I graduated summer 2007 and the school was starting to show signs of real trouble in administration and faculty. Incompetence seems to be a real problem at VanArts. But that being said, I was still able to get a quality education in the Game Art and Design class thanks to a handful of great teachers. You have to DEMAND AN EDUCATION from the administration.
