Salut André,
As I explained in this review, I think it is hard for former students to evaluate the course/school because it is continually changing and evolving. Since I was there, the Game Design department has been relocated to a new location, new building, new rooms, etc. I saw pictures online and I was jealous -- students look like they are setup to work in teams much earlier and have much more professional area to work in.
Also, the instructors are changing a lot and depending on who's there, your experience will vary.
I think it also depends on where you are in your life, and how you are getting your money from.
I think it would have been very difficult for me to succeed at VFS if I had not already had a good amount of experience with computers and softwares. (Multimedia degree, web design/development experience, etc)
I don't think the course taught enough about scripting and that is very difficult -- in an ideal world, VFS would create partnerships with Computer Science students so game designers can focus on design & level design instead of programming scripting.
I hope this helps!
Take care and good luck,
Keep us posted, if you do decide to go, come back here someday so you can tell us about your experience :)

I wish to take the vfs game design program, and I'm wondering if you think the foundation course is a good start or if it's simply a waste of time/money?
